Spain will host another men´s waterpolo top event of the Olympic season.

As the Royal Spanish Swimming Federation announced, the VII Super Final

of the FINA World League will be held 11-15 June in Santa Cruz

de Tenerife, which is located on the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean

. Spain will already be the organiser of

 the European Championships to be held 4-13 July in Malaga and

the Super Final of the EuroLeague competition

for club teams to be contested 9-10 May in Barcelona


The calendar problems of the Olmypic season

 are stressed by the fact that the five-day-event at

 Piscina Acidalio Lorenzo will be held on the earliest

date in the history of this competition. Previous Super

Final tournaments were held in Patras, Greece (2002),

 New York, USA (2003), Long Beach, USA (2004),

Belgrade, Serbia (2005), Athens, Greece (2006)

and Berlin, Germany (2007). All of them were contested

at least one month later, some of them even at the end of August or in September
